Students will love being word detectives! This is a fun way to incorporate write the room into your daily literacy centers or word work components. The "detectives' are given a case and they have to search the room to locate and write words that fit the case description. Also includes a blank template so you can add your own criteria. For added fun let them use large magnifying glasses and wear detective hats. The recording sheets include text boxes to write in which is helpful for those students who tend to write to big and who have poor fine motor skills.
